My Weekend in Pictures

October 10th, 2012

My weekend was very interesting. I worked hard and saw a couple accidents and even took some pictures of a giant moth and a “zandoli”. But the accidents were the highlight. How many times must I say it? Take your time while driving!

Another Job Completed!

April 29th, 2012

This weekend saw the completion of another metal work job. It wasn’t supposed to be anything strenuous but it ended up that way.

Sunday started out with the promise of an easy job: load up the van, install the bars, come home. Done! One hour of work. But as lady luck would have it, it was anything but easy. The bars would not fit into the window frames because the frames were not square. One side would taper at an angle while the opposite side of the window would taper in another direction. One window had three sides that were even and the fourth was FAR from straight. OMG!

As a result, some modifications were due. Some back home we went with the bars, modified them quickly and then went back to the site. And guess what? The mods did the trick! Yay!

We touched up the areas that needed touching up due to all the welding, drilled the holes and installed the bars. It took us less than an hour to do all three rooms and we were out just in time to catch the replay of the Manchester United v Everton game which ended in a 4 – 4 draw.

The job looked really good, see pics below, although I believe the quality of these pictures were a little poor. I think I need to bring along a camera when going to install metal work because I don’t think that my 3 MP Blackberry camera is sufficient in poor lighting situations.

But all in all, a job well done. Good work team!! On to the next project.
