Let’s Take Our Time
Since posting the article New Road Same Carelessness some time ago, there have been at least 5 accidents in the west coast road that I can recall including this one under the Canefield Cliff which involved three vehicles.
I’m wondering whether it’s the fact that the roads are wider or pothole free or both, that we are experiencing so many accidents. Or maybe our drivers are adrenaline junkies who need that rush everyday. More and more I see total disregard for safety as drivers overtake around corners and while other vehicles are approaching. And for what? To be one or two vehicles ahead of their original position on the way to town. Rubbish I say!!
While this article was being written, there was another accident today in mahaut. I just don’t get it. C’mon DA, let’s take our time on the road. Our population is already low, let’s not reduce it further with careless driving.
