Converting videos from one format to another can be daunting. But “fear no more” because there is VLC Media Player. It’s really easy to convert your videos if you follow the instructions below.

1. Open VLC Media Player
2. Click on Media then Convert/Save
   

   

3. Click on the Add button
   

   

4. Browse you computer for the video file you want to convert (in this example we will use this Roblox video that my son recorded) then click the Open button
   

   

5. Leave all the options as they are and click on the Convert/Save button
   

   

6. Click the Profile dropdown selection and choose the video format
   

   

7. Click the Browse button at the bottom of the window to name your converted video
   

   

8. Type the name of the converted file in the File name text field then click the Save button. Also choose the save location for the converted video if it will be different from the original
   

   

9. Click the Start button to begin the video conversion and wait until the blue bar goes all the way to the right and you’re done
   

   

   

10. Browse to the location that you saved the file and you can now play your converted video file
    

    

Congratulations! You have successfully converted a video file using VLC Media Player.
