I got a TF300T which was not rooted and had a locked bootloader. I was using it fine but I wanted to unlock the bootloader in case I decide to root in the future. Unlocking the bootloader is quite simple, actually.
Go to Asus Support site (http://www.asus.com/us/Tablets/ASUS_Transformer_Pad_TF300T/HelpDesk_Download/) to download the Unlock App. Choose Android as your OS before you can download it.
Copy the Unlock App to the tablet then install it.
After installation, run the app and accept the terms and conditions.
You have to accept another agreement. Go ahead and do so.
If you encounter a notification saying “You do not have a Google account or pin”, simply click OK to continue.
The system will restart on it’s own to begin the unlocking process.
You will recieve a notice in the top left of the screen. This will take a couple minutes (not long).
When it is finished, you will notice a message in the top left when booting up letting you know that the BL is unlocked.
That’s it. Congrats on unlocking your bootloader.
